Our research and sessions will be used to develop educational and teaching ideas with a view to creating resources that are accessible at departmental and even academic level.<br>The experiment ended with Cycle 1, as these concepts seemed too complex to tackle with younger children. To introduce my young pupils to Neolithic megalithism, I needed to create a horizon of expectation to capture their interest. The approach, based on very touching albums about stones, was very motivating. The adoption of a stone by each of my pupils ultimately cemented this enthusiasm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:23px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/5senses4kids.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9253\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.5640968673628082;width:826px;height:auto\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:64px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color has-large-font-size wp-elements-21c7c09206214ba47e6c5c98cb918cb3\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">Project objectives for pupils<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-6d8b7d30cb03a5305877e816dd22d6a8 wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">&#8211; To understand artistic and cultural forms by placing their approach in time and space.             &#8211; To educate their eyes by exploring their immediate cultural environment.<br>&#8211; To raise awareness of the creative processes behind plastic and architectural works.<br>&#8211; To better understand the world around us.<br>&#8211; Become sensitive to the vulnerability of heritage and aware of the importance of its preservation.<br>&#8211; Get involved in a shared sensory experience to build an initial artistic culture<br>artistic culture.<br>My projects are meaningful, each time taking a sensitive approach to help my students become responsible citizens of tomorrow who have developed a social and ecological conscience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:26px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-130da05e0693421eb085138930909f9d\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">Motivate<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-c71cb8f83a40ab2bd69349198922d5bc wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">Motivate &#8211; Train the eye &#8211; Question &#8211; Gradually understand<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-ead875ad85e31c44bc2efa1db6435fb6 wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">By offering multiple approaches:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-fc349ff196a9fac5db0beac2f862678e wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">&#8211; Stand-alone sessions to explore touch, engraving, polishing, the work of archaeologists&#8230; to practise building, transporting&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-75af183cc72d95104e34417d3e2d3933 wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">&#8211; Discovering places in situ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-8e494b2f9f87308148168eb77282747f wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">&#8211; Networking albums.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-99e69b53faf6e3c6827542520d61ca3a wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">&#8211; Developing one&#8217;s imagination&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:23px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/5senses4kids.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9301\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.3703170413033623;width:820px;height:auto\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:38px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color has-large-font-size wp-elements-6a979ec7cd259ac48712528adab6076a\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">A multidisciplinary project<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:26px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-b7ad291e2dcc53644aeeb89a5764d2d4 wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\"><strong>Encountering local heritage is an integral part of arts and cultural education, but also of many other areas of learning. This educational project is also built around skills to be acquired in language, temporal and spatial structuring, discovery of living things, etc.<\/strong> Assessment, whether daily, occasional or summative at the end of the sequence, allows us to report on the construction of knowledge<strong>.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-30ce7a663f264d3fb6bec207aeddd2f6 wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\"><strong>My ambition is to enable my pupils to forge an emotional bond with this magnificent heritage so that they can become &#8216;ambassadors&#8217; for their local heritage. It is essential to give them the opportunity to reinvest in it.<\/strong><br>After a visit, an activity or a special workshop, the notes they make in their life notebook are part of the learning process.<br>It can also be an assessment in the sense that the children explain what they have experienced, express their feelings and share what they have learned in the form of a dictation to an adult. Feedback from parents is very important and motivating. Learning and living together, progressing, exercising curiosity and enjoying class is the mission of the nursery school, and therefore mine too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:34px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/5senses4kids.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image-1-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9315\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.4089742991744019;width:840px;height:auto\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:36px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color has-large-font-size wp-elements-cc80d490c894979d284ffa043420e6b8\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">Calendar<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-179175a1cc11bba19ec13a9eb496ee16 wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">We are only at the beginning, but here are the highlights of the project:<br>&#8211; September: Adoption of &#8220;Caillou, mon ami&#8221;<br>&#8211; October: Visit to the Kernours Tumulus in Le Bono.<br>&#8211; January\/February: Workshops to develop the sense of touch and ultimately introduce us to the work of archaeologists.<br>&#8211; March: Music project: creating a soundscape with a guest artist.<br>&#8211; April: Earth project with a ceramist: engraving on plates.<br>&#8211; May: Visit to the cairn on the island of Gavrinis.<br>&#8211; June: &#8220;Prehistoric Experience&#8221; activity: at the Carnac museum, followed by a storytelling tour of the alignments.                                                                                                                           &#8211; End of June: show for the school festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:35px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color has-large-font-size wp-elements-ceda16e84a2bcc7ce2887d352b1b7163\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">Impact of the project on the children<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:16px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-c61f628fc1be2d6b455d5b97f2bc5efd wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">&#8211; What is required of the student:                                                                                                   . showing curiosity, asking questions, expressing feelings, showing respect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-1790dbbbab3b925152e0377537fd8151 wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">&#8211;
