You are the chairman of the Eveil&#8217;O&#8217;Go\u00fbt association.<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full container\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/5senses4kids.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Contenu-5-sensesPublication-Instagram-1024-x-450-px.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6733\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading container has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-206973317c27c0c69c17d25424772202\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">Your association is also a partner of the 5 senses for kids Foundation. <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading container has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-74b87196f89973a9d25d65a8eb40f406\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">Can you tell us when and why this association was set up? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"container has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-6856ecde155ae9914cf6568acb74783a\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">From 2005 to 2009, the &#8220;\u00c9duSens&#8221; research project was conducted by the Centre Europ\u00e9en Sciences du Go\u00fbt and the Institut National de Recherche pour l&#8217;Agriculture, l&#8217;Alimentation et l&#8217;Environnement (INRAE). The aim of the project was to study the effects of sensory education on the food preferences and behaviour of children aged 8 to 10. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"container has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-c440d9c94c526595618cc5634120bca7\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">The results showed that after 6 to 8 months of sensory education, the children tended to adopt eating habits that were more open to novelty and to describe their sensations more objectively during tasting sessions. The \u00c9duSens project also highlighted the importance of the parents&#8217; role in the continuity of sensory education at home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"container has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-7b320c4c10fd860088ae7cd48c1f069a\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">Finally, the project has led to the development of sensory education programmes in the classroom (&#8220;Classes du Go\u00fbt&#8221;), in school restaurants (&#8220;Les Restos du Go\u00fbt&#8221;) and within families (&#8220;Familles du Go\u00fbt&#8221;). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"container has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-31f04024cc5d52d2f4dc45a6050551e4\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">Aude Gaignaire, who worked on the \u00c9duSens project, realised that there was no permanent structure to promote these three programmes in Burgundy, so she decided to pursue and disseminate this research. So, in 2010, she founded the association \u00c9veil&#8217;O&#8217;Go\u00fbt, to disseminate an educational approach based on the sensory experience of food, derived from the research carried out in Dijon by the CSGA (Centre for Taste and Feeding Behavior).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"container has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-d0abdc724eb0544bfe54a52c015616ea\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">The association is committed to sustainable food transition, making the sensory experience a key factor in behavioural change. Through its actions, \u00c9veil&#8217;O&#8217;Go\u00fbt aims to help people rediscover food as a social moment of pleasure and conviviality. The initiative values individual and cultural differences in taste, restores people&#8217;s confidence through a sensory approach, broadens their food repertoire and encourages a more harmonious relationship with food.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"container has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-43c12b9ee8fc832252a096875a328635\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">\u00c9veil&#8217;O&#8217;Go\u00fbt uses the five senses to help everyone make the most of their sensory abilities, to be attentive to their feelings and to share them with others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"container has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-f6752f478d5bbbcf0ce8bcbe55738400\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">Finally, \u00c9veil&#8217;O&#8217;Go\u00fbt aims to promote the discovery of local food products to strengthen the link between consumers and producers in the region. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading container has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-0eb19a9586804ee51b0693ab57eb7010\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">What types of activities do you run and who do you work with? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"container has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-10c4ebee07194e29012440856526bbe4\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">Our activities aim to raise public awareness of the use of the five senses and the importance of pleasure and conviviality in food. At the request of organisers, \u00c9veil&#8217;O&#8217;Go\u00fbt can design and run fun, interactive sensory workshops tailored to the target audience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"container has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-81956d2389cb0266270e59a396a7aba3\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">We have three main areas of activity: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"container has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-0fa52b0d2611b285ff1e8593def2dc2a\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">One focuses on disseminating sensory education to those involved in education, health or local food-related initiatives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"container has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-2e301c9bad8d301c73289777367a3df6\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">The other is aimed at the general public, by organising sensory activities at various events. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"container has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-a8368d178d2bcbf723145418e95777ac\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">The latter supports research into sensory education conducted by the CSGA (Centre for Taste and Feeding Behavior).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"container\">Here are some of our presentations: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eveilogout.com\/nos-interventions\/\"><u>https:\/\/www.eveilogout.com\/nos-interventions\/<\/u><\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading container has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-a78618ded6ed97da4674e2e9ef58ce00\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">What tools do you use and who can use them? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"container has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-a164488020b0187aab7a3f6cafc8b1d6\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">We create tailor-made teaching situations and events. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"container has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-fb99977ae1f1479a338a89858b6a771f\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">For example, we have designed a specific tool for 3-7 year-olds, &#8220;les maternelles du go\u00fbt&#8221;. As part of the regional food plan, the DRAAF has supported the development of a<strong>complete teaching tool to meet the needs of teachers and activity leaders who want to help children <\/strong>discover food using the 5 senses. This tool is based on <strong>fun and innovative methods<\/strong> such as Japanese theatre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"container has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-34ac39dfa55be448068926518b4a89b6\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">We distribute it on request and provide training in its use. Initially curious and open to the sensory discovery of food, they explore a variety of flavours, textures and colours. This is the ideal time to introduce a diversified diet, particularly home-cooked plant-based foods, which encourage healthy eating habits. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"container has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-5dcf0ff71f165519ded6c481ac4aa259\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">Around the age of two, children often enter a phase of food neophobia, where they can be more selective and refuse new foods. To reduce this behaviour, it is essential to diversify their diet early on and encourage a positive attitude towards new tastes. Parents play a crucial role in modelling varied food choices and creating an environment conducive to food exploration from an early age. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading container has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-fed5fed086e1856b0ce28e7b090bf13c\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">We thank you for
