It\u2019s an olfactory spectacle!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>GROIN will be a so-called \u201call-terrain\u201d show, allowing us to meet little ones, in nurseries, daycare centers, small nursery sections, and libraries! <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/5senses4kids.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Groin_5sensesforkids_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5143\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Photography credit &#8220;La compagnie d&#8217;en face&#8221;<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-e2c3b0989f4dfc9e4b12315475c277e5\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\"><strong><strong>But why a scent show for little ones? <\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\"> Smell is the earliest sense in babies!<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s time to create an odor library that will follow the child all his life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From 0 to 2 years old, children are curious and adventurous! Subsequently, it will be more likely to reject new aromas and new perceptions. The diversity of odors smelled in the early years is therefore crucial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An awakened sense of smell leads to the pleasure of taste&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The &#8220;<strong>Nez en herbe<\/strong>&#8221; association has highlighted the importance of olfactory education, they work for the integration of olfactory awareness into school programs, from nursery and nursery school. Their reasoning goes further: smell is the first step towards a healthy diet and therefore good health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe ideal age for developing the sense of smell is 0 to 2 years old,\u201d says F\u00e9licie Codron, olfacto-therapist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\"><strong>Project<\/strong> <strong>intention<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/5senses4kids.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Groin_5sensesforkids_2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5146\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Photography credit &#8220;La Compagnie d&#8217;en face&#8221;<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>What would our cities look like if we humans had snouts? Would there even be cities? Or just forests and flowery fields as far as the eye can see? Smell, among us humans, is this sense that is shunned, little stimulated, under considered. Perhaps this helped shape our world of tar?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To allow ourselves to transform our living spaces, we offer an immersive and ambulatory experience, putting the bodies of the spectators at the center of the dramaturgy.<br>GROIN is a show featuring a half-man, half-animal clown who sees the world through his nose. His adventures will be our discoveries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Raw products to explore: fennel, celery, lavender&#8230; Scents diffused, which fill the air and question our senses. Twice a month \u201cthe Culture Truck sets its sights outside\u201d to meet residents of the Jean Mac\u00e9 district of Arcueil. Thanks to an odor library, we approach smells and the memories they carry. How can we put into words the traces of smells in our memory? This harvest of words nourishes times of creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-66bb34e5d751683d7f2b160de93acf3f\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\">In-situ time: observing toddlers in the places where they are welcomed<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The in-situ times allow the children to be stimulated with smells, to observe their reactions, their interactions and also to show them extracts from the show in progress. Their presence makes these ideas evolve, and nourishes the time on set. These experiences took place in the small section classes of the Maryse Basti\u00e9 nursery school in Romainville (whose educational project around food is demanding: 100% homemade, 100% organic canteen), and for the children of the Fran\u00e7ois Trubert nursery in Arcueil. More recently, in Villiers-le-Bel and Gonesse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-693d0f5e8200ad6c4a4736656ad6a5a7\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\"><strong>Specific creative times: creating as close as possible to little ones<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The P\u00e9pite system of the ACTA Company hosted GROIN&#8217;s first week of residency from November 27 to December 1, 2023. GROIN will soon be in residence at the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre du Parc, in the Bois de Vincennes. The Dunois Theater is joining forces with La Compagnie d\u2019en Face to apply for Art for Growing, an artistic residency program in a daycare center run by the City of Paris for 2024-2025. These nursery visits will allow the creation to be finalized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\" style=\"color:#3c7a95\"><strong>Impacts of the project <\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/5senses4kids.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Groin_5sensesforkids_4.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5147\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Photography credit &#8220;La compagnie d&#8217;en face&#8221;<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Parents, early childhood professionals, and the artistic team can measure the impact of the project during daycare residencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are in dialogue with Arnaud Leleu, researcher at the University of Dijon, head of the \u201cOlfactory Cognition &amp; Communication in Development\u201d team. Once we create the show, we will work with its teams to determine how it can be used to collect data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\"
